Making Friends at 32

How to Make friends at 32?
What a question right! I don't know how it is for you guys but it is hard especially when you are a stay at home mom.
When I was a teen I was a social butterfly. My weekends and even my weeks were booked with some type of activity with friends.
Either We would drive south to dance Salsa, or go north to spend our days on the surf going surfing then making bonfires at night. We would make silly home video and always be having fun. Either dinner at a restaurant with 30 something or more of us, an going to the movies. An I didn't just hangout with the same people I made friends with anyone, any age, any race. I never judge. But my life changed when my parents decided to move. I hated the idea of moving and that is how I lost many of my friends. I still keep in touch thanks to Social networks to my true friends. But the truth is things changed. I changed. My wants and like were different.

To tell you the truth I dreamed of having a family. Which when I met my husband at 19 years old I new I found the person I will share that dream with.

Now I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls and I am crazy about them. But sometimes I would like to have some real friends that I can go workout with or do play dates with. That they would call me and say "hey do you wanna go out or hey do you want to go to the mall with the kids".  Nope I don't have that. Actually I am the one calling people seeing if someone wants to hangout.

I joined Roller Derby, Yes I did. I actually love it. But it is very far from my home. I tried my best to go out with the girls but the group either has the main girls who have been doing this for sometime and are not interested in hanging out with anyone new. Or they are real young and have no kids. But I did make a friend.

Still it is hard to make friends. Especially in these days. That people are very busy in their lives, and most people don't even speak to neighbors. Like My little girls don't have any kids to play with in the neighborhood like I did when I was young. I was always playing outside. Even with the kids I didn't really care for.

I also joined a Yoga community. Which I truly love actually. It is one of my favorite ways to exercise. (My husband is benefiting from it cause I never been so flexible in my life). An the people there are super loving and all. But I do notice either their very busy or they like to hangout with other single yogi's.

So What do I do?!

Hmmm!
So I have decided to keep focusing on my family.
Keeping busy in our house hold. Especially since this is now a homeschooling home. (note I will be sharing with you all that journey too)!
We have started to do all the library story times and go to all the local place like bush wild life, which is a sanctuary for animals, and on the weekend my husband and I are starting to do some type of activity, such as the zoo or the science museum or to the park or one of my favorites the beach.

So far in the library I have met a new family who homeschools as well so Hopefully this form to a lovely friendship for my girls and I. :)

I will keep you posted on this journey on making friends at 32.....

Cloth Diapering

I am new to cloth Diapering. I have a 2 children. One is 2years old and the other is 6months old. I have a friend who has 2 kids the same age and has been cloth diapering since the beginning. I will not lie I was hesitant to do it. But times are rough and I can't afford to be diapering 2 children. So my eldest wears pullups and I have been converting my 2year old underwear into training pants. Now my 6months old has been doing cloth now for 2months. I have tried prefolds with a cover, I don't care for it. I also tried pocket diapers which so far I like a little, I love the inner fleece and how you can put as much inserts as you want to keep dry and you just switch inserts endless diaper is soil then you have to clean all that mess. Down below is a picture of a pocket diaper. Their cute right.

Now what I really like Are flip diapers and Weehugger which are All in two. The pocket and the Flip diapers are one size fits all which I like Now Weehuggers come in 2 sizes. Which I use size 2 cause my 6 month old weighs 20lbs. you can put a prefold or and insert liner or you can use it as a cover. What great you can use it over and over, just remove the insert or whatever you use and wipe the pull fabric. Also if they soil their line or prefold you can just remove it and wipe as well. Along-est the soil didn't get on the cover of course. Now I personally have ventured on making my own liners. I use the prefold some times, I also have cut up the prefolds in 3 and sew fleece on it to keep the wetness from touching my baby. Other ones I have made is I bought sweat pants xxxxl from wal-mart for $2 and cut that up and got old flannel blankets and fleece blankets as well as tee-shirts and bought some microfiber from the auto part of wal-mart and I have sewed them together. i put microfiber in the middle of each layer and make sure the top layer is fleece and the bottom is flannel. it has been working out wonderful. I also made inserts for my pocket diapers. the first image below is a weehugger. the 2nd is flip and how they work and then I added some more of my weehuggers ddiaper images.

I love all of these. Now If your interested in flip Diapers you can buy them on cottonbabies.com and they do free shipping.
I have been inlove with www.etsy.com there is a seller named count your blessing and she makes flip style diapers for $10 and also for $14 and $15 Weehugger look alike with out being bamboo like weehugger and with pretty patterns. the $14 and $15 ones have gussets which I love they keep everythingin and they all come with liners mad of crush panne and flannel and she adds gussets to those lines for $2 more or you can buy the lines for $5.50 ea. Check it out I love them. Well I will keep you guys up dated if I see any more cloth diapers. So far I love these and I am starting to make my own. I will add pictures when I make them hopefully they turn out well and I can save money that way. I am also going to start to sell my liners and breast pads and hopefully soon AI2 diaper covers. But first I must make enough for my munchkin.
Please let me know if your new to it or old to this and which ones you love and cool insight making liners or inserts or cover.

sincerely
